The present invention discloses an air blowing device for blow molding in an injection blow molding machine and an air blowing method using the same. The air blowing device comprises a compressed air source connected to an air inlet of an injection blow molding core through an air source output pipeline, a blow molding air supply control valve and a core connecting pipeline which are connected in sequence, and a pressure sensor is arranged in the core connecting pipeline. The air blowing method using the device comprises three steps: timed blow molding shaping, timed cooling shaping and air release mold opening. During timed cooling shaping, when the real-time air pressure in the plastic product is lower than the lower limit pressure value, the blow molding air supply control valve can be opened, and when the real-time air pressure in the core connecting pipeline is higher than or equal to the upper limit pressure value, the blow molding air supply control valve is closed, and the cycle is repeated. Alternatively, the cooling air supply control valve can be opened to continuously supply air through a pressure-reducing air pipeline until the pressure-holding cooling time expires. The air blowing device and method of the present invention can be widely used in integrated injection blow molding machines.
